What do you want? Seriously. I'll check your fluids, even though I am sure they are 100% fine. You better not come back when I have to go through emissions testing next year.

Mine went off days after my inspection, I figure I have a whole year to fix it now....

Buy the OBDII Torque App for $5 and then order a blue tooth OBDII plug for your car for $15 from Amazon. Then you can read and clear you codes. It's also helpful to configure readouts and gauges from any ODBII data that you want. I have my phone set up with guages for boost/vacuum, EGT temps, and water temps, since MINI doesn't think a driver should know anything useful.

How quick is the sample rate on that app? Do you actually get meaningful / appropriate data on boost and vacuum?

Dang quick, it includes a faster communication option. I use it on my BMW/MINI and performs better and faster than the $250 OBDII scanner my friend just purchased. It's amazing how many options and readings you can set up and follow. It even has speech alarms that can be set up for whatever information you want. This morning my phone surprised me and told me there were icy conditions.

Good to know! I've been weary of recommending the app to people because I wasn't certain of the sample rates.

If it does do a good job of providing immediate boost information, I may start recommending it as a possible substitute for a manual gauge.
